This car is the result of an Engineering project that merged the state of the art Turbo Engine and Computer Control Systems from the potent 1990 series Toyota Supra Turbo into this light weight 1982 Supra GTS. All engine mechanical and computer control systems have been moved over from the newer style Supra Turbo into this 1982 Supra without wire cutting and butchering, leaving available the future option of plugging in the original 1982 engine control system if desired. With the addition of staged HKS performance upgrades to these control systems, engine power output is cockpit adjustable up to 350 hp with current fuel software and hardware. This combination more than matches the current horse power output of the new $65,000.00 320 hp 1995 Supra Twin Turbo. There are a number of advantages to converting the older style 1982 to 1985 Supra MA-67 body style over to the new Supra Turbo drive train, rather than just working with the newer series car. 1 Strong rattle free Light weight body {up to 700 lbs lighter than newer models} 2 Agile handling, near 50/50 weight distribution with fully independent suspension 3 Same robust drive train components with full sub frames 4 Originality, this is the only conversion of its kind utilizing factory systems 5 Price, with the current 1995 Supra Twin Turbo at over $65,000.00 dollars it is far out of reach for most of us Car designed and build by Reg Riemer in Calgary, Alberta.
