An inside look at the Supra GTE's New Custom HKS intercooler
upgrade & install
by Reg Riemer
This will take some time to load up, take a break!

Complete HKS MK III IC pipe kit was used, and modified
to work with in my custom1982 Supra GTE car. All the pipes were Ceramic
coated to improve air flow and eyeball appeal.

This is the Stock MK III intercooler beside my custom HKS 3 row core
with custom tanks for the MK II

As you can see the stock pipes were very twisted up. This setup producted
a max 348 HP & 400 Ft/lbs torque at the rear wheel on my Supra GTE.
Not bad for a stock system.

Close up of the Supra GTE's HKS TO4E Turbocharger that pumps the air
through the pipes

This is a the HKS replacement for the stock 7M-GTE 3000 induction pipe,
the pipe I used was ceramic coated this one is one from one of the extra
MK III pipe kits I have for sale, and is not ceramic coated yet

As you can see this HKS pipe is a monster air flow upgrade, the throttle
plate is ready to open when needed :-)

With the top feed pipe in place this system will flow about 40% better
than the stock pipes! HKS cast alloy pipes were custom cut and tig welded
to alow the air to pass through the stock fender hole, no cutting of the
body was required

The large HKS core as seen from the top of my car, with a cool SONiC
sticker in place!

This is a bad shot of the under side of the car showing the HKS core
mounting

With the Ic pipes from the turbocharger installed

IC pipe to the front fender well

Wtih the plastic fender liner removed you can see the pipes going up
and into the engine bay
